Meet Stuart – Owner of Glass Cranks

What started as a small creative idea from my dad has turned into a family project (and my crash course in algorithms and workflows!).

Cycling has always been part of Dad’s life – from riding a Peugeot racing bike as a child in Manchester, to mountain biking in Saudi Arabia, to towing us along on family rides (or with my younger sister on a child seat fast asleep). 

Over the years he’s collected (and loved) many bikes, but he’s a true fan of steel frames.

When he’s not designing T-shirts, Dad runs another business with Mum and enjoys trips to the Netherlands, riding along endless cycle lanes (I am sure we will be sharing images of these trips). Over the years he’s taken on a few charity rides and even tackled the legendary Alpe d’Huez – which inspired one of our T-shirt designs.
